so, nun ist es endlich soweit. 16 jahre reichen absolut als raucher und das ist doch auch schon das grösste argument denke ich. ev. auch dass meine lungenflügel nicht gleich gross ausgeprägt sind und und und argumente gibt es ja nun wirklich genug.

ich habe DAS buch noch nicht gelesen. ich schreibe hier absichtlich noch nicht, da ich mich nicht verschliessen werde es zu lesen, sollte es mir wieder in die hände gelegt werden. momentan bin ich recht zufrieden damit es nicht gelesen zu haben…und ein wenig widerstrebt mir der gedanke während des lesens auch wieder zum rauchen verleitet zu werden. man hat mir erzählt, dass herr allen carr seinen lesern quasi befiehlt erst am ende  - also nach der letzten seite des buches - mit dem rauchen aufzuhören, keinsfalls davor. nun das ist ja nun in meinem fall wirklich blöd! wo ich doch schon 3 tage ohne hinter mir habe - und die waren ja nicht gerade die besten meines lebens!

um möglichst wenig in versuchung zu kommen - ich bin unter anderem auch ein typischer nach-dem-essen-raucher GEWESEN! - bin ich heute  - an meinem ersten rauchfreien arbeitstag - mit kaugummis, joghurt, essen von zuhause ausgestattet - man will doch nicht gleich mit den kollegen zum verrauchten wirt gehen zu mittag…

ahja, mein geheimnis überhaupt: niemand weiss es! das ist glaube ich wirklich ein guter punkt. ich dachte mir, dass mir das darauf angesprochen werden echt nicht gut tut. “Hallo, ich habe gehört….wie geht es dir denn damit?” nein danke! wer braucht sowas denn? besser ist eher ein “Rauchst du denn gar nicht mehr?” - “Nein, schon seit 3 jahren nicht mehr!” :-))))

i am looking for a new - actually a used - car as my current one is already 16 years old and it my motor mechanic told me it will not get the required certificate next year anymore. ok, well, it is old and i am not that comfortable with it anymore as it is not really possible to transport anything other than people with it. no estate car but a limousine…

of course, i am checking the offers in about ten local internet portals for used cars from dealers but also from private sellers. kind a tricky thing i figured out lately! i am not using my car daily but on weekends so i do not want to spend a lot of money for it. i am looking for some german or swedish vehicle, which is not older than ten years and does not have more than 150.000km but more than 90ps (horse powers) and it should not cost more than 4000 euros. that was possible 5 years ago - my old bmw only had 60.000km and was about 4k euros…

these days, you will get bored and tired looking for such offers - there are none. exept fakes. and that is what i was experiencing twice the past two weeks. offers which do seem too good are mostly trials to ripp people off!

therefore, i thougt, i might do some litte investigation on those fraud technices and internet auto scam offers.

you will find offers which you might treat as good to incredible. you will contact the seller. in the language in which the offer was online within the portal you were searching through. the seller will answer in english or in your written language but incredible bad. he will tell you that the car is in excellent condition, all the documents are fine, there are no scratches at all and stuff like this. but the car is located abroad due to some weird circumstances. (i will bring two examples up…) then the seller wants you to send the money for the car via western union to his country (that is something i can onyl guess) but to put a name of your friend or wife or something as the recipient of the money. the seller will promise you that he will deliver you the car after you sent him the confirmation of western union and the deal will be closed as soon as you go with the person which you put as the recipient of the money and the seller to the next western union agency, pick up the money, and give it to the seller of the car. hm, ok, actually, there is some sense behind this. even a real person you would trust might ask for this, to ensure you have the money before starting to deliver you the car…

ok, well, it was quite obvious to me that this can only be fraud. the thing i really do not know is how they are able to pick up the money from some agency as long as they are not the recipient written on your receipt. very interesting…

to sum this up: as soon as there is western union involved, it gets strange already. in addition, why buy a car which is located somewhere without a face2face condition? if the offer is too good: IT IS FAKE!

be aware of this kind of offers! it’s a pain in the ass that most portals do not have a “report as fraud” function. i would introduce one as this is saving all buyers a lot of time!

ich habe ewige zeiten (ich glaube fast ein jahr lang) damit verbracht die verschiedensten zeitschriften, vergleiche usw. zu lesen um mich für ein neues fernseh-gerät zu entscheiden.

und das ist wirklich nicht typisch für mich! ich kaufe andere dinge wie computer, stereo-anlage und handy innerhalb weniger tage wenn nicht sogar innerhalb eines tages. hier war es jedoch anders. warum? wenn man sich das überwältigende angebot an derzeit erhältlichen geräten ansieht, dann fällt auf: es ist einfach überwältigend! es gibt die verschiedensten arten und die unterschiedlichsten spezifikationen!

grundsätzlich zu den technologien: es gibt Lcd, Plasma, LED (und Oled). ev. gibt es auch schon wieder andere, sind mir jedoch nicht untergekommen, da sie ev. preislich (wie Oled auch immer noch) uninteressant waren oder sind. vielleicht sind andere auch noch nicht bei uns - ich suchte nach einem gerät, welches ich online erwerben kann wo ein versand nach deutschland bzw. nach österreich möglich war - erhältlich.

diesbezüglich noch eine kleine nebenstory: als ich mein tv-gerät dann zu hause hatte mich ein freund besuchte und genau wie ich derart von den socken war…er bestellte das selbe am nächsten tag (allerdings bei einem anderen anbieter) - rief er mich eine woche später an und erzählt mir, dass ihn der anbieter kontaktiert hatte (nach einer woche) und im mitteilte, dass das gerät nicht nach österreich verschickt werden könne. warum es mein freund dann im schop kaufen konnte und auch seine lieferadresse angeben konnte ohne einen deut von fehler - es war uns allen unverständlich.

nun gut. hier zu den allbekannten vor und nachteilen zwischen plasma und lcd: der grösste unterschied zwischen plasma und lcd ist sicherlich die art der beleuchtung des darzustellenden bildes. für ein total schwarzes bild “leuchtet” beim plasma fernseher einfach gar nichts. beim lcd gerät hingegen leuchten zwar keine pixel, aber die hintergrundbeleuchtung “leuchtet” dennoch. sie wird beim lcd benötigt um ein pixel, welches farblich leuchten soll zum leuchten zu bringen. das pixel beim lcd macht “nur” die farbe, es benötigt eine huntergrundbeleuchtung, damit man das farbige pixel auch ordentlich sieht. die plasma technologie hingegen bringt nicht nur farbe, sondern auch leuchtkraft mit einem pixel zustande. daher hat der plasma ganz klar einen vorteil gegenüber dem lcd bei dunklen bildern oder dunklen stellen innerhalb eines bildes. lcd geräte kämpfen mit vielen verschiedenen mitteln und techniken gegen einen “grauschleier” oder ein einfach nicht gänzlich schwarz wirkendes bild an. dies passiert z.b. mit partieller hintergrundbeleuchtung, d.h. es wird “nur” jener teil beleuchtet, welcher auch helle stellen aufweist, etc.

dennoch  geht dieser punkt klar an den plasma. in gegensatz dazu wird oftmals der energieverbrauch bei plasma tvs als höher gegenüber lcds genannt. im grossen und ganzen muss man dem zustimmen, allerdings ist der unterschied nicht derartig gross, dass er für mich eine rolle gespielt hätte. ich bin allerdings auch nicht davon ausgegangen, das gerät tag und nacht eingeschaltet zu lassen, um beispielsweise jederzeit kaminfeuer-feeling zu haben. hinzu kommt, dass vergleichbare lcd geräte teurer sind als plamsa tvs und somit der unterschied im stromverbrauch erst nach einiger zeit (jahren - abhängig natürlich von der intensität der nutzung) zum tragen käme.

es gibt natürlich auch noch led technologiebasierende geräte, welche ähnliche effeckte bei dunklen oder schwarzen stellen versprechen. led fernseher werden bei der lcd technologie angesiedelt. nebenbei haben geräte dieser technologie oft 10-100fache kontrastwerte gegenüber lcd oder plasma tvs. preislich sind sie jedoch auch bei ca. dem doppelten gegenüber einem plasma gerät in etwas gleicher grösse und merkmalen angesiedelt, weshalb ich auch diese für mich nicht interessant waren.

ich habe viele geräte “probegesehen” und muss sagen, für einen laien, welcher sich mit dieser materie erstmals beschäftigt: ich konnte den unterschied nur dann sehen, wenn ich beide technologien nebeneinander sah. dann gewann für mich persönlich jedoch immer der plasma.

als basisausstattung benötigte ich einen integrierten dcb-t tuner sowie einen analogen tuner, mindestens zweimal hdmi und mindestens einmal scart (euro-av), sowie s-video. und er sollte schon mindestens 50 Zoll haben.

somit kam nur der samsung PS-50A556 oder A557 in frage (unterschied liegt lediglich bei einer silbernen untern abschlussleiste gegenüber einer schwarzen). er erfüllte all meine kriterien, ist ein absoluter knüller, was preis/leistung angeht und hat ein bild, welches einen gegen die wand wirft!

für denselben preis konnte ich kein besseres gerät finden, lcd und led waren weitaus teurer! und als ich das gerät bei mir zuhause ermals einschaltete: mir wurde fast schlecht und schwindelig, so gross und scharf war das bild - keine sorge, das vergeht nach kurzer zeit!

ich kann den samsung PS50A556 /557 nur jedermann ans herz legen, wer ähnliche anforderungen und preisliche vorstellungen hat wie ich. nebenbei gesagt, hatte ich zuvor auch schon in einen 30 Zoll Monitor von samsung investiert und auch dieser konnte mich vollends überzeugen, weshalb ich auch vor samsung als marke keinerlei scheu hatte.

installed mu wordpress and checked if plugins are working as with the regular edition. yes and no. first of all, yes. if you put them to the plugins folder. they work as usual. i mean not the feature but at least you will find them under admin->plugins and you’re able to activate them. afterwards, also depending on the plugin, you will find some menu entry under settings or so. if the plugin then really works the way you would like on a multi instance installation really depends on the plugin and your requirements.

but there is also a folder named mu-plugins. i had a hard time with it. you cannot copy the plugin into like you do with the plugins folder. you can only copy some .php files into this directory. without subdirectories!

the difference of mu-plugins and plugins is also a significant one: plugins you put into the plugins folder, need to be activated by every user who would actually like to use the plugin. but as the wordpress installation owner, i have some requirements, which need to get fulfilled on every user blog. this is where mu-plugins comes into the game. plugins copied into mu-plugins are automatically activated for every user. you even cannot deactivate it. but as mentioned above, there are some restrictions.

i had some troubles getting the google-xml-sitemap working and stuff like that, as you also need to modify the code a bit to make it recognizing the correct paths and the mother- and child-bolgs…

maybe i will post an step-by-step installation guide on some of the plugins i have treated in a special way to get them working…
